Caitlin + JC • Champaign, IL
Caitlin shared their story with us: “We started dating when we were 18 and spent 11 years growing together before getting married this past October. While we met in high school, we didn't really become friends until we learned we were going to the same university in Chicago. We learned we had a ton in common and he was amazing at making me laugh and helping me to have fun even when I was feeling uptight. We felt like our authentic selves around each other. During orientation week, we spent a rainy evening together jumping in puddles on campus and the rest is history. During our decade of dating, we did so much together! JC and I are major foodies and I'm pretty sure we tried every pizza place Chicago has to offer. We bonded over our shared love of music, going to concerts and festivals together whenever we could. We also spent two years long distance while I was in grad school in Colorado, and even though it was hard being apart from each other, I knew he was worth the wait! JC proposed to me the December after I graduated back in Chicago where it all began. We were so happy to finally have our wedding after postponing planning during Covid. It was the most beautiful day filled with the brightest smiles and the happiest tears. We got married at Pear Tree Estate in Champaign, Illinois. We now live in the area with our ginger cat, Caesar!”
We were so excited when we found out Caitlin’s bouquet was created by J. Blu Design! The owner, Julie, creates the most beautiful, unique and fun designs and is so great to work with. She’s on our Preferred Florists list for a good reason! Caitlin also told us, “Julie is just the best, we absolutely loved working with her! My bouquet was so magical, I'm glad I get to keep a part of it with me forever!” If you are getting married in the Central Illinois area, we highly recommend choosing Julie as your floral designer.
Caitlin and JC’s artwork collection included the hexagon Wedding Bouquet Preservation artwork, the mini hexagon boutonierre artwork and the small faceted ring holder.
