Jacquelin told us, “Omar and I both grew up in Winters, California — super small town! But we didn’t start dating until we were both in college. He was in the Bay Area and I was in Los Angeles, so we went into a 400 mile long-distance relationship for the first two years! Six years later, we got married in Winters and now live there where we can stay close to our families. Also, the ribbon/lazo that my bouquet was wrapped in at the wedding was the lazo that my parents received during their Catholic wedding 33 years ago. This lazo symbolizes the new unbreakable bond between the couple.” Also, does Jacquelin not have the most beautiful smile, or what?! We love the sheer happiness she projects in all her wedding photos!

Jacquelin opted to be surprised with her artwork design and let Honeybee make all the artistic decisions, so we didn’t show her the mockup we made. We do post mockups to our Instagram stories @honeybeeforkeeps, and when we sent her the images of her completed hexagon Wedding Bouquet Preservation artwork, she responded, “Wow, I’m literally obsessed! I was secretly hoping this was mine when you posted about it on one of your stories and I’m so excited! I am in love!!” We are obsessed over here, too! Her bouquet was gorgeous — bright and bold, yet soft with delicate touches. We aimed to maintain that aesthetic in the design by choosing an “in-between” composition (not too full with clear space for breathing room) and love how clean the layout turned out!

Fun fact: Jacquelin’s college friend, Patty, had us preserve her wedding bouquet for her back in April 2022 and posted it to her Instagram. Jacquelin saw it and it inspired her to have us preserve her bouquet, too! This is the absolute greatest compliment and we are so grateful to Patty and Jacquelin for trusting us with such a special keepsake from an incredibly special life event.
