Victoria + Jake • Pittsburgh, PA

Victoria is truly one of the kindest people we’ve ever worked with, and we are beyond honored that she chose Honeybee to preserve her wedding bouquet! She’s the former Miss PA USA 2020 and the CEO of the cutest clothing shop, Wight Elephant Boutique - which has a swoon-worthy wedding collection you *have* to check out. Victoria is one busy gal, and you can check out her latest endeavors on her Instagram @victoria_bobak.

Victoria shared her and Jake’s story with us: “Jake and I have actually known each other since 7th grade, but didn't start dating until after high school graduation. We had maybe 2 classes together during all that time, and we weren't in the same social circles so we were never around each other. But, Jake says that he would see me in the halls and always had a little crush on me. The last week before high school graduation, I noticed him with new eyes and thought he was so attractive! And since we were about to graduate, if I tried to talk to him and he didn't like me in return, I would never have to see him again and have nothing to lose haha! Turns out, he was attracted to me as well and since May of 2014, we've been inseparable. We officially started dating right before I won my first pageant title in August 2014. Since then, Jake has been by my side through it all. He would be the first one to ask me what I need and figure out what would make me feel better, and the first to tell me that he believed in me when I wanted to start my own business (and then be coerced into learning how to work a professional camera to become the official Wight Elephant Boutique photographer). He’s been to every single pageant competition and believed I would/should win every single one, even when I didn’t. He’s my biggest supporter in life, he keeps me grounded, he makes me laugh until my stomach hurts, and he makes me feel the most loved I’ve ever felt! He bought a ring right before I competed for Miss USA in 2020 and proposed a couple weeks after I came home from the national pageant.” Seriously, you can feel the love these two have for each other in their wedding photos!

One of the things we love most about this wedding is how much flowers were involved, from the gorgeous gardens where Victoria and Jake had their ceremony to the absolutely stunning bouquets and the floral installations at the ceremony and reception venues. We cannot get enough of that soft color palette of mauve and creamy white mixed with fresh greenery, and how full yet airy the bride’s bouquet was. We wanted to keep that same feel in the hexagon Wedding Bouquet Preservation artwork, so we opted for an “in between” composition - not too full, not too minimal - so that each floral could shine on its own. We love, love, love how it turned out!
