Kristyn shared their story with us: “Brett and I met in the summer of 2019 in Portland, Oregon. He is from Miami, FL and I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan. We both took chances on ourselves and moved out west around the same time for career opportunities. We met on Bumble, and after a few nudges from Brett, I made the move and ultimately asked him out. Our first date was at a bar in downtown Portland and one drink lasted 4+ hours. We believe that we are the ends of each other’s invisible strings and that it was only a matter of time until our paths intersected. 

After a year into dating we moved again, this time together, to Austin, TX where we now own a home with our dog, Lennon. Brett proposed in Paris in December 2021 at the Palace of Versailles. It was a dream come true. We had our dream wedding on December 9, 2022 surrounded by our closest family and friends at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts in Florida. The day was perfect and we could not have asked for anything more. 

Brett has opened my eyes in this big world, introducing me to his Latin culture and Jewish traditions, and I bring him stability and groundedness.  We have built a full life together and it’s only the beginning of our story.”
