Emma + Joey • Laramie, Wyoming
Emma and Joey began their relationship during college, and even managed long distance between Alaska and Wyoming! They both love nature and mountains, so they planned a trip to see the Canadian Rockies and Banff Provincial Park. During that trip, Joey arranged a photographer to be there and capture the moment he proposed to Emma - and she, of course, said yes!
Emma contacted us a few weeks after their wedding to say she’d been air-drying their wedding flowers and wondered if we would make artwork with them. When she sent us photos of her dried bouquet, with all it’s gorgeous, vibrant colors, it was an easy yes for us! She did a great job of maintaining the beauty of the florals and we knew they would work well in resin. She sent us her bouquet, a bridesmaid bouquet, and 3 boutonnières to work with. We deconstructed the bouquets in order to compose a design for the main hexagon artwork and 2 wedding party artworks, and used small florals and petals from them to create the dessert wine glasses, pyramid ring holder and necklace. For the boutonnière artworks, we opted to keep them intact with their ribbons since they were able to fit within the artwork size as-is. It also made it easier tell which boutonnière was which, as they were each from the Groom, Man of Honor, and the Father of the Bride.
The images below are a must-see! We love the style of their wedding photographer and the breathtaking backdrop of their wedding location. The color palette of their wedding flowers really pops in the photos. Oh, and more pups in the wedding party, please! Add floral collars and we can’t take anymore! So much cuteness, love and fun in these photos.
After receiving their keepsakes, Emma told us, “we absolutely adore these stunning keepsakes you made for us! Every time I see them, they bring back all of our amazing wedding memories, and you really stayed true to the character of my bouquet!” We here at Honeybee feel so lucky we got to work with such a lovely couple, and that they trusted us with such a precious memory.
